Title: Report overview (.icr)
Post by: Prad on 11 Oct 2005 08:32:17 AM
Hi Team,

Can some body help me, how to get the "Content Overview Report" ( Like what we have in impromptu -.icr).

Which will display the details for the Report / Model.

I will be waiting for your replies.

Thanks,
Prad.

Hmmm, ICR's were used in Impromptu to make a text based overview of the catalog. I don't think you could create ICR's for reports.
Reportnet doesn't have this functionality, but you actually you don't really need an ICR

Since Reportnet doesn't use a binary file format anymore (Framework Manager models are stored as XML) you don't really need an icr anymore.
The disadvantage is that the only application that shows the XML in a decent way is Framework Manager. Open the XML in Internet Explorer, and you should have a pretty good idea of the structure of the framework.

Cornelis

Ok, does the XML also shows the tables , columns and SQL of the model / report that are used in the model  / report. I can not see these details in the XML.

Please share more thoughts about this requirement.

Thanks a lot,
Prad.

Copy a report in RS to clipboard and paste it in a txt file and look at it.. You could write a xsl style sheet on it...
