Hi all,

How to get the functionality by arranging a prompt "run with options"
which displays one selection out of three "HTML,PDF,EXCEL".
when user selects the prompt as PDF the report should run in PDF directly..

have any one come across this situation? waiting for your help.

There is a preference setting somewhere (in one of the Cognos connections menus) that allows to set the default to pdf (instead of the regular html). I think this can even be set on group and user level..

I think you can overcome this by using java script. Same type of problem is there in cognos support

It seems the code does not work in 8.3

may be some modifications required in the script.
