Hi All,

I have a requirement where we have to ship the Cognos powerplay cubes(.mdc files) to our client and the client wants to open the Cubes using any other desktop tool like an excel or something.Is there a way to achieve this.

We are using Cognos 8.3

Please let me know your suggestions.

No, you can see cubes only with "Cognos Powerplay" or from "Cognos Connection" with "Analisys Studio" or "Report Studio".

Hi

if u hav cognos 8 with FM(Framework Manager) then u can use a cube created in Transformer in cognos8
1)make a data source connection for a Cube in cognos connection.
2)Take that cube in FM .
3)create and publish a package.
4)Use that particular package in Analysis Studio or in Report Studio.
