Title: Report Studio Dashboard – using Multi Cubes
Post by: trooper642 on 10 Jun 2008 08:11:41 AM
Hi,

In Report Studio I would like to have one report access multiple cubes. The individual cubes are already built but I would like to how it’s possible to tell RS to pull its information from the various cube packages/ data sources. I don’t need to merge/ union any queries because each cube represents a separate business unit where I would only be passing common parameters to them. Right now I’m in version 8.1 any help would be greatly appreciated.

An RS report is based on 1 package and one only AFAIK.
How about creating a package with multiple cubes?

Having 1 package with multiple cubes works I just don’t know where to start. In FWM would I be looking to reference the various datasources associated to the cubes or reference the cube packages with the lightning bolts?

creating a package with the cubes data sources you need and publish a single package.
