Will conditional formatting in barcharts work ?
Since my requirment in to limit the number of items to 20 based on the rank. I am trying to use conditional formatting but not able to achieve it.
Please help me if there is any other solution

how detailed are you trying to get with the conditional formatting of the chart? You have the ability to create conditional palettes for a chart so maybe that is something worth looking at.
If i'm honest i've not tried it myself but I've just had a quick look and reckon that it may be able to provide you the result your after.
i thonk no need of conditional formatting for acheiving this rank. In query create one data item with expression rank([product line] for report) and in filter give the expression as the dataitem<=20. So it diaplays all the values less than or equals to 20.
