Title: Confusion and Understanding
Post by: StuartS on 21 May 2008 11:26:01 AM
Hello

This is what may seem an easy question, but Ill ask anyway.

When seting up the Planning73 COM component and Cer4 Service all documentation and advice point to a user that is a member of the local admin group.

Now do you read this as a domain account with these rights, or a local machine user with these rights.

Im suspecting a domain user with local admin rights for a several machine solution.  Opinions?

The result is the same. You can either use a domain user or a local user, as long as he is member of the local admin group, is used in both the COM+ identity tab, and the NT service. If you have multiple planning servers they must be setup the same. (create same local user with same password, or use the domain user)
