Title: Error: Unable to access service at URL Help!
Post by: Soccer on 09 May 2008 12:47:20 PM
I installed Cognos 8 Framework Manager and configured correctly(all checks are green after configuation).
But when I open an existing project in Framework Manager. I got following error:

Unable to access service at URL:
http://aa.bb.cc.com:44080/c8/cbi-bin/cognos.cgi?b_action=xts.run&m=portal/close.xts
Please check that your gateway UI information is configured correctly and that the sevice is available.

Can someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it??

Thank you for your help

And you can cut/paste http://aa.bb.cc.com:44080/c8/cbi-bin/cognos.cgi into a browser and cognos connection comes up?

No, I cut/paste http://aa.bb.cc.com:44080/c8/cbi-bin/cognos.cgi into a browser, but Cognos connection didn't show up. I got "page not found"

HTTP 404 - File not found
Internet Explorer

In fact, http://aa.bb.cc.com:44080/c8/cbi-bin/cognos.cgi  is the gateway setting I got from adminsitrator. I put it in the cognos configuration w/o error.

What should I do next?

Now...I assume you're doing a cut/paste here?  because it SHOULD read:
http://aa.bb.cc.com:44080/c8/cgi-bin/cognos.cgi

Little type on the cgi-bin (not cbi-bin)
