Title: Upgraded to Oracle 10g - C8.2 FM Model DB mapping
Post by: cognos8.2 on 08 May 2008 01:37:09 AM
Hi all,

I have upgraded the DB from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g. my fm models were mapping to Oracle 9i - "DB1" (say). now they have to map to DB2. How do i do this ? Will it be fine just by updating the content store propertise in the FM model by changing DB1 to DB2? Let me know how to map to 10g DB Server.

Thanks in advance!

Be careful with the expression 'DB2'. You mean 'Database 2', but as 'DB2' it is a IBM competitor to Oracle ,this may lead possible confusion  ;)

Did you just upgrade the source database? Then you should probably just update the existing Cognos datasources to the correct source.
