is Rank function works for cross rab report ?

it is working in List report, when I did the same thing on cross tab report it is showing wrong values ?

have u placed the rank function in filter?

If so change the application property of that filter to "After auto aggregation "

I did like this

rank([sales Amount])

and in the filter I gave rank([sales Amount])<=100

I am too having problems with rank function in nested crosstabs, specific across time and category dims. I have been told that the within set needs to be added to the statement but as I am new I am completely lost.

Does anyone know of any good examples of ranking in crosstabs that I could look at, cognos examples work great in list reports but are basic.

Any help much appreciated also.

Got the top 10 highest salary with rank function..but i want the sum of this TOP 10. Kindly help..
