Title: Multi d-list maintenance via d-cube
Post by: JaromirSeps on 10 Apr 2008 06:26:46 AM
Hello,

I am currently struggling with multiple product d-lists (20+) and want to somehow automate the maintenance of individual d-lists, to avoid typos, different abbreviations, etc.

I was thinking I will create a d-cube with the all-product list in one dimension and the d-list names in a second, and export this to either TXT or straight to the target d-lists.

I was trying to do this in a test library, but I cannot work out how to do it right to fulfill multiple purposes:
- keep the iids while updating the d-lists with products, so I won't loose the data in contributor all the time
- automate the update process of individual product d-lists

Somebody told me there is a technique to do this, but I cannot work it out.

Has someone else solved this?

Thank you
Jaromir

See "Handling Dlists" part in this post (http://ykud.com/blog/?p=181) for my ideas on topic.
