Hi Gurus
Actually my client is in need of datas to be refreshed daily in reports.so i want to know whether when ever we run the report it will give latest data or we should publish the package always to get the latest data.

this will depend upon what you're using as the source for your data. if your queries are referencing a prod database or a database that is populated by ETLs every night then they will see current data. you would not have to publish the package each day to get the latest data, because publishing the package will give you the latest report meta data.
Change the Default action of the report to "Run The Report" this will ensure that the report always fetches the latest data.
you can find this in Cognos connection, select the report properties.
IF ur FM dataSource is directly connectd to ur Source database then No need to Publish the package if made the changes in databse.
AS u Run the Report it Gives u the fresh data whatever there in the database!!
