Would like to learn more about "iso-swid" folder in Cognos analytics install directory. What is the use of this folder. When this folder will be created ? How to understand the content of this folder ? Any harm if we delete this folder ? How can this folder be recreated, if we delete it ? How can I confirm if I have IBM Cloud Pak component installed in my current installed Cognos 11 version ?

I haven't come across an iso-swid folder previously, but if it is included in the install location of an on-prem Cognos Analytics instance, I wouldn't mess with it.
Regarding the other question about whether you have IBM Cloud Pak component installed in your current Cognos Analytics 11 version, this isn't how things work. If you have IBM Cloud Pak for Data, this runs on Red Hat OpenShift - you need to install OpenShift then start installing the core IBM Cloud Pak for Data components. You can additionally (optionally) install the IBM Cognos Analytics cartridge within Cloud Pak for Data - again this runs in OpenShift, and takes the form of a collection of "ca" pods. It is an entirely different setup from the regular Cognos Analytics on-prem install.

Just to add that deleting that folder can attract legal consequences from IBM if they decide to audit. I have seen quite a few companies who have been audited. It can also stop Cognos from functioning.

Ah - got it. Looks like the iso-swid folder is there because of the selection you make in the product about whether you are using Cognos Analytics in a Production or Non-Production environment. I knew the product stored this somewhere, but never connected it with this folder.
Definitely don't delete it. As for what it represents (ie the Production vs Non-Production setting), it makes no difference how it's set if you are using Named User licensing for Cognos Analytics, but it can make a big difference if you are using PVU based licensing (based on the CPU capacity of the server(s)).
