If i have to buy a license and create a report in Cognos Desktop version, is it possible now to do it?
Is there a software available to download the metadata information of the data and reports?

Hi,
Cognos 10 can't really be described as a desktop product - it is designed to be installed and used on one or multiple servers. That being said, you can actually install and run a single instance on a desktop, provided it has enough CPU and memory to support the instance.
I'm wondering if you are referring to Framework Manager - the metadata modelling tool? This was a "client" install that usually ran on desktops.
Cognos 10 dropped out of support a long time ago, and to the best of my knowledge the downloads for the software are no longer available.
Can you describe what you mean by metadata information? Are you referring to the Framework Manager models/packages?

What i meant by Metadata is the detail information about the Data sources and the Reports.
Is there a way to extract the information about the
1. list of reports available in my account
2. along with its connected data source information & its stored path and
3. Number of users viewed the reports till date. etc..
Does this tool "Framework Manager" help us in retrinving the above mentioned information?
Is it available to use with Cognos 10 & 11 version?
Is it available in Trial version?
1. Reports available "in" my account? Do you mean a listing of everything within My Content? Or do you mean a listing of every report in Cognos that you have the ability to run? ...or something else? In any case, it's a bit complicated.
2. Automatically tracing the path from a report to its physical data source can be challenging.
3. That's an audit question. Do you have the Audit database set up? If not, you probably can't get this information.

What i meant by account is - all the reports which i created for my organization.
And I didn't configure Audit database setup yet.
Please guide to acheive this.
