Post by: bala on 04 Aug 2023 02:26:12 AM
Hello everyone,
If I have a bunch of reports / dashboard designed in Cognos 10 or earlier.
Is there a way to extract the metadata information of Data module connected to each report.

Thanks in Advance

Thanks dougp.
Data module which we are using to connect to report is a new feature introduced in Cognos 11?

Data Modules specifically (ie metadata modelled via a browser-based UI) were introduced as part of Cognos 11.0. Prior to this, the only way to model metadata for Cognos (in ReportNet, Cognos 8 and Cognos 10) was to use Framework Manager - a client-based modelling tool - and publish metadata packages from Framework Manager to your Cognos server. These were referred to specifically as Packages, and they are still an option today.

Cheers!
