Hello all!
Still pretty new to Cognos so forgive me if this is obvious, but I cannot find an answer for this anywhere.
I have an active report and I want the first prompt to be "Run automatically for last month" or "Select month."
If they choose the second option, they get a second prompt to select the month they want data for.
In other reports I've just added a render variable for the second prompt page linked to the parameter in the first one, but Cognos won't let me add a render variable to the page in Active Reports. I've tried a few workarounds to copy and paste it from another report, complete with variable, but no luck. Different browsers and changing the scripting in the internet options wouldn't let me do it either.
I've also tried having a conditional block on the same page, but couldn't get that to work either.
Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you for your time.
ETA: what do you know - I've been working on this all day and when I finally wrote it out I had a new solution! Has anyone else tried to do this? Happy to write it out or close the topic.
