Good day,
I was all excited to use the 'multilingual' dashboard feature to solve my requirement of providing an English and a French dashboard.
There doesn't seem to be a method to modify filters based on locale. Is this correct? If so, I'll go back to my 2 dashboard design.
I see similar statements on images in https://www.cognoise.com/index.php/topic,35892.msg118975.html#msg118975
No mention in here: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cognos-analytics/11.1.0?topic=dashboard-creating-multilingual-dashboards
Note: I'm using Cognos 11.1.7, and datamodules.
"[A] method to modify filters based on locale" could mean many things. Could you define the problem in slightly more detail please.
Data modules don't have ML support.

FM does, has had it since it was released, and it is fairly robust and flexible, enabling you to use macros to dynamically change metadata in queries depending on the user locales and enabling you to build-in locale names for objects. The session parameters are quite useful for determining things like the user locale and user name, which can help for data security filters and object security.

So without much more information the suggested approaches and their tradeoffs can only be fairly vague.
Hi bus_pass_man,
Thanks for the information.
I saw your comment 'Data modules don't have ML support. ' and I did not realize that. I should have checked that first. I appreciate your knowledge.
