I have a boatload of (Cognos v10) Report objects which I used to drop on to (Cognos v10) Workspace.

Is there a technique that will allow me to drop an old (v10) or even a new (v11) Report onto a Cognos v11 Dashboard?

Yes you can.
Use the web page widget, add URL to the report in question, and add "&format=HTML&ui_appbar=false&ui_navbar=false" at the end of the URL to hide the portal-elements
