Title: Framework Manager error
Post by: bindu2008 on 18 Feb 2022 01:20:26 PM
Hi,

I'm receiving the following error when connecting to a datasource connection on Framework Manager. This is a new installation of FM on a different machine. The current laptop connects to the same datasource just fine. Oracle is the database. The tnsnsames file was imported from the current laptop and placed under Oracle 11g installation on the new laptop that's having the issue. A dsn has been created as well. Any thoughts on what might be causing this error?

"UDA_SQL_0129 Invalid login information was detected by the underlying database
ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied"

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you made sure the Oracle 32-bit client is installed on that machine? The 64-bit client won't work.

Cheers!

Thank you for your response. Yes, I did install Oracle 11g 32 bit client from our company's site but it didn't work well before at one point, so that could be the problem too. I don't see it on Oracle site anymore though. Any idea where I can download Oracle 32 bit client from?

Anything else that you can think of like dsn, environment variables etc?

Hi,

It looks like there are multiple versions of the Oracle 32-bit client available from here:

https://www.oracle.com/database/technologies/instant-client/microsoft-windows-32-downloads.html

What install did you use for the other FM machine that works currently?

I'd look at this as the first step.

Cheers!
