I once dealt with global parameters more intensively and find them great to use, but not perfect yet ;-) That's why I relied on the experience of the forum members ;-)
1. I would like to populate the global parameters with multidimensional values from a Dynamic Cube. However, when I import the global filter from the report, it cannot find any values. Is it possible that this is only possible for relational filters/parameters?
2. I am an administrator in our Cognos system. Even if I assign the global parameters to my group, I cannot work with them as an admin. I also don't get the option/icon in the top right area to set the global parameters. We have already had the same experience with setting the start page. We suspect that for some reason this is disabled for an admin?
3. Is it possible to set the global parameters using a separate report? I would like to not use the right sidebar of Cognos, but build a custom report for the user to set the parameters.
