Hi Friends,
I am using Cognos 11.0.8. I am trying to format a pie chart so that it looks like a pie chart in another report.
The latter is a report that has been upgraded from Cognos 10. I am simply not getting the same formatting no matter how hard I try.
Also noticed that the properties of pie chart as in the report upgraded from version 10 are quite different from the fresh report I am building in version 11.0.8.
Please suggest how I can get the chart to look like the one in the other report.

Hi,
There are multiple charting engines to choose from in Cognos Analytics (plus when you move to 11.1.x you'll see IBM added another new one too). The trick is in knowing which to select. When you add a new visualization to a report, you will see a dropdown in the top right corner that allows you to pick which charting engine to select a chart from. The default is the latest engine, but you can choose any of the others. I'm guessing that in your case you'll need to select the last option (which is labelled Charts in my 11.1.7 instance) as this is the old Cognos 10 AVS charting engine.
Cheers!
MF.
