Title: Search not working properly after upgrade to 11.1.7

We recently upgraded from 11.0.13 to 11.1.7FP1.
Since then, the search function is not giving correct search results.

Even if you type the specific name of the report the search result is like random and does not really relate to the search key.

Any of you had this issue?

As much as people might hate me for saying this but it is true that ever since Cognos 11 has been introduced, it has become an unstable product. No wonder they come up with so many patches and so frequently but still it goes on.

Moreover, my personal opinion is that the new UI is absolutely horrible and I hate it! The old one (Cognos 10.2) was lot better at least for us developers. In the new one, it is very cumbersome to go thru all folders etc. The report studio features are all scattered in different places. Thank god they haven't changed the screens for Admin pages

But i heard they are not upgrading/developing the old Cognos Admin that is why they are introducing a bunch of things in Manage.
The old cognos admin will be removed soon. But I still do my work in the old cognos admin portal and will still prefer this one.

I hate the new interface as well specially when you are going down several folder\directory level.

We have the same issue since upgrading from 11.0.13 to 11.1.7 IF8. We opened an IBM ticket and they recommended installing IF9.

We haven't done it yet, so don't know whether it will resolve the issue yet.

Has anyone else with this issue been able to resolve it?
