Hi everyone,

I'm wondering what experiences you have regarding upgrade Cognos Analytics to a new release. If the installation is currently on version 11.1.5 and you want to upgrade to 11.1.7 FP1, would you rather install the FP 1 directly or do we need to first install the base release 11.1.7 and apply the FP afterwards? As far as I know the FP is always a stand-alone installer.

Yes, a Fix Pack is a complete install. Don't take the intermediate steps unless you have a need other than how the installer behaves.

Thanks for your input. I had the feeling I better first install the base release and afterwards the Fix Pack. There was no issue and with the over-the-top installation it is no matter of time anymore.
