I have an existing star schema grouping (shortcuts) in presentation layer which is based of a star schema created in Intermediate Layer. However, I have included a new dimension to this star schema created in the Intermediate Layer.
Just wondering if there is easier way to add this new dimension to the existing star schema grouping without having to delete and recreate the existing namespace in presentation layer, so that I dont have to reconfigure the object security again on the existing query subjects.
Any help is highly appreciated.

You don't need to delete anything.
As you have observed, when you create a star schema grouping, a set of shortcuts are created in a new namespace. If you want to add a dimension to the star schema grouping, select the dimension and choose create new shortcut. Move the shortcut to the star schema grouping. As it will probably have a name like shortcut to dimension, you can rename the shortcut to something more presentable.
