Title: Error "User defined SQL is not permitted" after importing report from Cognos 10
Post by: ale137 on 12 Jul 2020 10:40:13 PM
Hello, im having an issue with reports that i am importing to Cognos 11.0.13 from Cognos 10.2
When i migrate the reports using the method Copy report to clipboard/Open report from clipboard i get the following error when i try to execute it:
"RSV-VAL-0010 Failed to load the report specification. XQE-PLN-0148 User defined SQL is not permitted. "

The reports arent using a model/package to feed the table but a single SQL query.
I gave my admin account the full access to the capability "User Defined SQL" from Report Studio but the error is the same.

Is there another way to solve this issue?

Hi,

Is your report missing to point to any package?

Hello

I replaced the reference to a package to a new model that had all the tables that where being queried.

The missing package error tends to happen before the User defined SQL is not permitted.
