In the attached file there is an image or 2 report mockups. They depict 1) the current report results i get and 2) the desired result.
I am trying to maintain the list of 'Types' in the summary and grand total sections of the report.
Everything I try rolls up the 'Types' into a single row in the summary sections using the first 'Type' encountered as the label.
FYI... I did not mention this report is built from a relational data
It's a little clunky, but this should work:
- Select each grouped total and split cells
- For each grouped total, select the Type and Measure and merge cells
- Unlock report
- Drag list into each new merged total cell, using same query
- Insert Type and Measure into each new sub-list
- Set first sub-list master-detail relationship to be Country -> Country
- Hide sub-list titles (General > Column titles > Hide)
- Delete each measure total (just the total, not the entire cell, so make sure to do this while still unlocked)
- Set padding on each total cell to 0 all around
- Set each sub-list to 100% width
- Lock report
You may have to play around with formatting to get it to look right. I mocked up an example with my own data. Attached is a screenshot of how it looks in report editor, and the output.
Thank you so much seb24c!!!
A very creative solution, works great!
