I have a report that looks terrible in PDF, I would like to be able to prevent a user from being able to "Run as" PDF.

I tried to create a render variable, based on ReportOutput() function, to hide the prompts, and the 'Finish' button on the prompt page and display a message that PDF is not available when the user selects "Run as PDF". No luck.

I tried to display the value returned from ReportOutput() in a layout calculation but no matter what format I ran the report in it always displayed 'XHTMLFRGMT'

I have learned that the ReportOutput() function value selected by the user is not available on the prompt page, once the report is run I see the correct value being returned from the function.

What version of Cognos Analytics? I remember having this problem and worked with IBM Support. I think the problem was fixed.

I saw the problem in 11.0.7. I'm now using 11.0.13 FP1. (I don't remember if it works now or if it is fixed in a fix pack after FP1.)
