Title: Read-only Dashboard 11.1.5
Post by: Commander Cognos on 07 Feb 2020 06:27:01 AM
Hi everyone,

is there a chance to completely lock a Dashboard - also to lock the widet filters. I mean even though the Dashboard is read-only now in 11.1.5 the user can still remove the filters at a widget - thats an issue. We are using Planning Analytics 2.0.9 and even though we have a cube security applied in this case this is even ignored and the default member of the dimension is applied.

Thansk and best regards,
CC

Hi everyone,

I know this topic is rather new, so I do not expect a prompt answer - however i'd be happy if someone has a idea here. In addition we do not only face the issue with the filters. By the time and every 3-4 days the TM1 cube crashes due to the interactions with the Dashboards. Once a user with limited permisions on the TM1 cube logs in to Cognos and runs a Dashboard it crashes. I think the interface between CA and PA is just not completey stable. Maybe I oversee something, so thats why I ask you guys for help.

In the meantime I rebuild the Dashboard as a report since I have full possibilities with slicers to manage the dynamic security settings based on the user.

Thansk and cheers,
CC

Hi,

Appreciate you detailed this question several weeks ago so may already have an answer....

But,
Could you not just change the permissions on your dashboard or folder in which it resides that prevents users from saving it. They will still be be able to make changes on the fly, but would be unable to save over the top of your default position.
