Title: New Database connection - Snowflake
Post by: swagar on 06 Jan 2020 01:23:22 PM
We are trying to use Snowflake, cloud database with Cognos 10.2.  It work with the generic ODBC driver except for a few functions which are named differently.  I believe the Cogdmod.ini is the file to edit to translate database function calls, but I'm not sure what types of statements to put in and where.  I see the general syntax, but how will cognos know to use my new function calls?

Snowflake isn't supported for 10.2.  It is for 11.1.x and 11.0.13.

We did find that using the Netezza database type , Snowflake seems to work except for a few functions.  We found the cogdmod.ini and were able to translate the Netezza functions we needed to snowflake functions.
