Title: Public Folders in Cognos Administration
Post by: jeffgrace2 on 12 Dec 2019 10:46:04 PM
I realize this must be a simple question....
I just upgraded from 10 to Analytics, and in trying to maintain certain reports, I wanted to test copying from User A's "My Folder"  to the "Public Folder".  I realize that a full content restore brings all of these over, but I just wanted to try copying one out of curiosity.  My problem is that I cannot find Public Folders or Team Content inside the Cognos Administration.  And you cannot copy a report from the users folder in Administration, and paste it into the Cognos Team Content inside Analytics.  Any help would be great, as I know eventually someone is going to ask me to access and copy a report from an employee that has left.

Thanks.

We have Active Directory tied to our Cognos environment and I can get to a users "My Folders".

Open Administration
Click "Security" tab
Click on the "Active Directory" namespace

Click on "Users" folder
Click on the individual user
click on My Folders

Yes, I found that.  My question is how to copy that to the public directory or Team Content.  I have just been copying it to my folder, and then going in and moving it to team...which seems like there should be a way inside the administrator.
