Perhaps someone already has experience dealing with this issue?
I'm using Lifecycle Manager version which is included into Cognos Analytics Server 11.1.3 installation.
When I try to create a Comparison task for reports with prompts I'm not able to submit selected prompt values. prompts that are used in Lifecycle Manager will not function correctly, either the page will stay blank or the buttons on the page will not function.
Source - Cognos 10.2.2 (Fix pack 8 - Distributed install
Gateway URI - http://<server>:<port>/p2pd/servlet/dispatch
External Dispatcher URI - http://<server>:<port>/p2pd/servlet/dispatch
Note: I noticed if this is a single server install, I can successfully create a comparison Task.
Target - CA 11.1.3 - Distributed install
Gateway URI - http://<server>:<port>/bi/v1/disp
External Dispatcher URI - http://<server>:<port>/p2pd/servlet/dispatch
I tested with Source and Target as CA 11.1.3 and I didn't see any issue, I successfully created comparison Task.

We ran into this when converting from 10.2 to 11.1.2. The setup examples suggest the same URI for both gateway and external dispatcher. After discussion with IBM support it turns out this doesn't work. This is because the dispatcher in Cognos 10 is less full-featured than the dispatcher in Cognos Analytics 11. If we use the dispatcher URL in Cognos 10 as the gateway, it does not load all of the same files, so things like prompt pages and formatting don't work. We had to use the cgi-bin gateway instead: http://<server>:<port>/ibmcognos/cgi-bin/cognos.cgi (in our case this was on a different server than the dispatcher).
