Hi,
I would like to recreate the custom palette I made in Cognos 10. I've read that we can make custom palettes for ourselves. I've found the option in normal Report, created my custom palette but I cannot access that palette in an Active Report.
Is there a way I can access a custom palette in an Active Report?
Thanks.
Any chance someone can confirm whether custom palette may be used in Active Reports in Cognos Analyitcs 11.1?

Hi,
When you are referring to palettes, do you mean in charts / visualizations, or in something else?
If you create a custom palette for a chart, for example (one from the Cognos 10 AVS chart engine), you can use this in an Active Report. You can also edit the spec of a Cognos 10.2.1 / 10.2.2 visualization (one from the RAVE visualization engine) to introduce custom palettes - this involves you using the Visualization Customizer tool. I have a tutorial somewhere that walks through how to do this.
Hope that helps!
MF.

In either Active Report or Report I click on the visualisation. (let's say a Clustered Column)
In Report's Properties there is Color Palette and it has two options: Categories color and Continuous color. Either of the two navigates me to a color palette "changer" where I can change, duplicate, add new color palettes. (the same UI as in Dashboard)
In Active Report's Properties there is Common and it has a Color Palette option with a set of color palettes. I would like to create my own Color Palette to be shown here.
