Title: 11.0.3 - won't connect to audit database after rollback

This may be outside the realm of Cognos and may be a network issue, but we've investigated as much as we have been able on the network side and have found nothing.

Two weekends ago we were in the midst of an upgrade to 11.1.2, but had our gateway fail and we had to roll back to 11.0.3. Since that time, Cognos has been unable to connect to the audit database. Initially thought to be a permissions issue, we granted the login admin permissions but it still fails to connect. The testing of the connection in the configuration and administration panels shows that it is successful, however during startup we receive the AuditDatabaseConnection, Execute, Failure message repeatedly. Also, when reports try to run off of the database, they fail as they cannot access the table. Again, all of this even though testing the connections checks out and the login has every permission imaginable on the audit db server.

Any ideas of what could be causing this? Thanks in advance for the help!

have you tried to recreate your audit db connection?
