Title: Run options blank for a report security issue 11.1.1
Post by: ora1001 on 29 Jul 2019 09:31:05 PM
Cognos analytics version: 11.1.1

Recently installed 11.1.1. There are few issues w.r.t. run options. Firstly, i am able to see the run options if i directly login to the dispatcher i.e. http://<fqdn:9300>/bi/. We have website A which has a link to cognos home page. The issue happens when users click on the link and goes to cognos portal.  it just shows blank when i click on runoptions. however i can see run options when i login directly to dispatcher.

the browser console throws the below error for some reason when i click on run options.
0: "Error While rendering the content view for the slideout"
1: Error: No locale provided (bundle.js)
message: "No locale provided"

stack: "is24HrFormat@http://<fqdn>/cognos11/bi/js/glass/bundle.js?v=3387713312:10:321991\ndoRender/<@http://<fqdn>/cognos11/bi/js/content_apps/versionBundle.js?v=3387713312:10:3384\nn@http://<fqdn>/cognos11/bi/lib/coreBundle.js?v=3387713312:311:9002\n[22]</e.exports/s.prototype._settlePromiseFromHandler@http://<fqdn>/cognos11/bi/lib/coreBundle.js?v=3387713312:310:14212\n[22]

I have even removed the same origin response header in the website 1 which has the link to cognos portal. Anyone faced similar issues after upgrading to 11.1.1?

currently i have 1105 and don't see this issue. the same website if going to 11.1.1 portal has the issue and going to 1105 doesn't have this issue.  Is this due to security settings related to CORS(cross origin request)? i have also set the corsfilter to true on the cognos side using the config setter page. but still same error happening.. both the websites are in the same domain i.e. website1_fqdn.domain.com and cognos portal is website2_fqdn.domain.com.

HI! @ora1001

I have the same issue.

I've noted that this runs in Firefox, but not in Chrome and IE.

did you end up finding a solution for this?

Thanks!
