Title: ccl_error_for pid logs
Post by: Kavya on 27 Mar 2019 05:27:07 PM
Hi All,

We are using Cognos 10.2.1 on Linux servers. We are using 3-tier model. But, currently I have only one dispatcher (primary one) active and running. I did not start the cognos on other two, just to make sure which dispatcher is causing the problem and resolve it on one first then on the others.

Looks like the CPU usage is hitting high (like above 80%) and this is breaking the cognos services. As soon as the CPU usage is more, CAM_LPSvr service is going to defunct status and I do not even get the logic screen for SCI.

There are some ccl_error_for pid_8970_8970_2019-03-26.log files in the logs directory: /apps/manh/cognos/c10/logs
I see a lot of these files in there and I am not sure what is the problem and resolution for this.

When I open one of these log files, all I see is:
2019-03-26T12:18:00.177   140436852905728   CCLThreadPoolQueued::WorkerThread::processTasks Trace
<-
Caught unexpected error!

If I stop the cognos services and restart, then SCI will function normal. But we do not want to do that every time the CPU usage is maximum. CPU usage goes back to less than 80% just in 10-15 minutes. But the SCI does not work as CAM_LPSvr service is going to defunct status.

Can I please get some help on this. If any additional info is needed, please let me know
