I have figured out the basics of the themes and extension but have few questions.
1. brandIconSmall seems to have a fixed size. I want it bigger, is this set in another file, not spec.json?
2. i want to use the 'Home page" view as it has the "Recent" feature but don't know how to remove the "Quick reference" section, can someone advise? Where is the page to modify etc.

That's not customization. That's permissions. Remove the Everyone group from the System Administrators role.

Is it possible to remove the icons to access search and team content for consumers? If possible I would like to remove all those icons for a user group.
