I'm working on a report that's supposed to go out to people and we are expecting them to sign and return it back. One issue that has come up is that the PDF transmitted has a security setting to prevent digital signature.(attached screenshot) I have yet to figure out if adding a digital signature field is possible. I'm guessing the best way to solve this would be to have them print to PDF and then sign that copy. I did notice in Cognos' report scheduler there's an option to restrict the PDF from editing via password, with additional checkboxes for form fields and digital signature.
Does Cognos BI 10 have the ability to generate a PDF with form fields and a digital signature field? Or are these just meant to adjust security permissions of the file itself, with no relation to the content?
