I've been looking for a document outlining the major changes between versions 7.3 and 8.2. From discussions, I've gleaned that there was little changed in Analyst, but a lot changed in Contributor. (These are the only 2 Cognos apps we are using).
Our IT folks have another major system change going on right now, so we're trying to decide if it's worth it to make the Cognos Planning change, and if so, if it will be a major undertaking.
It looks like 7.3 will be supported at least through 2008, so we could put off the change until later in the year or early next year. But if it's a big improvement...
Can anyone help with a document or personal experience?
7.3 -> 8.1 just admin links boost up (significantly faster)

8.3 added minor improvements.
We've upgraded 8.1 to 8.2 on one site with a lot of pain. 8.3 should be lot less buggy
