I am trying to write an audit report that would have the report owner as one of the fields but no luck so far.
Can anyone help please ?

Owner information is not available in the audit-database (at least I think so).
Audit database is about things that have happened (report executions etc), it does not contain information about things that "are just existing" (for example reports that exist but have never been executed).
In the C10 version there used to be an audit extension that enables content reporting:

It seems there is no CA version available.

I heard an intriguing rumour that IBM are close to making a CA version available. Might be worth asking them the question?
