I am developing app that uses Cognos SDK on a different server from my Cognos Analytics server. However, I am unable to connect to the Cognos server through the dispatch URI (I have tried many variations of the URI) and it seems like it could be firewall related. What settings do I need to change on Cognos security to be able to access Cognos Analytics dispatcher from external servers?

Hi,
The only CA configuration that might be interfering here is the Cognos Application Firewall. You can add the domain of your external server into the CAF list. Other than this, I suspect you might be encountering a network firewall within your organization (ie not part of CA)? Is there a network administrator you can talk to?
