My search Engine stopped working in the Cognos 11 platform. Once I type in a Report Name and hit enter, it just says 'Your search returned No values'. Any inputs on how to troubleshoot this.
Note : I am new to Cognos 11.

I saw this when I upgraded from 11.0.9 to 11.0.10. To fix it, I re-named the indices folder in the ..\cognos\analytics\data\search folder and re-started the IBM Cognos service. This re-created the indices folder and my search started to work again.

In 11.0.7, this was happening to me frequently. I now have a daily process that runs during off-hours that stops Cognos, deletes the cm and mo folders from \data\search\indices and restarts Cognos. I haven't had a problem with the search indices since I did that. Hopefully you don't need to get that extreme, but it worked for me.
