Title: Package usage requests Datasource Credentials
Post by: RTheOpsGuy on 31 Jul 2018 04:58:30 AM
Hello people,

We are currently moving from 10.2 to 11.0.10 and are running into one small issue which is entirely dashboard related. We have a working package (imported from 10.2) providing us the fields to add. This package uses an Oracle Datasource to retrieve the information requested. The Datasource is entirely defined in the Admin console and is connecting succesfully (CQM and DQM) and we can run reports succesfully too. Therefore the signon should be correct.

When we try adding a field from the package to the dashboard, an error message pops up that the credentials for the selected Datasource are incorrect (The credentials are missing or invalid. Please type your credentials for authentication.). When we put in the same credentials as in the Signon, the dashboard succesfully connects and data is shown as expected.

Am I missing some kind of setting here that automatically uses the Signon as credentials?
It is notable that I am an administrator and have (checked) Full rights on every touched item (datasources, dashboard capability, package etc).

Thanks in advance for help.

Hey,

Delete the old Data Source and create a new Data Source with same name. Sometimes that works.

Do update!
