Yesterday, I conversed with a colleague who is ex-IBM. He told me that Cognos (didn't specify the toolset but implied it was CA) is no longer "made" by IBM. In fact he said it is now developed in India by a group somewhat independent of IBM but still branded and sold under the IBM name.
Anyone on this board have any info to clarify his information to me please?

As far as I'm aware that's wholly, totally, wildly untrue. If I were you I'd garner the advice of someone who is current-IBM rather than ex-IBM :)

I also wonder if your colleague is getting Cognos confused with Disclosure Management (previously known as Cognos Disclosure Management)? This is now owned and marketed by Certent.

To the best of my knowledge, Cognos Analytics continues to be developed by IBM developers in Canada. I could be wrong, though (and often have been).
