Title: Creating timesheet in Cognos to export to Excel
Post by: dziedzicjk on 26 Mar 2018 03:25:54 PM
I am creating a report that will pull pay rates and job classes our of our FIS and put them in an excel spreadsheet. I have a few issues.
1) one of the rows in my repeater table renders to Excel as three rows.
2) My end users will enter time on the excel spreadsheet. Is it possible to hard code the calculations in the Cognos report so it is already there when the report renders to Excel?
3) Even though I have set defined widths for my repeater table and the header table, when they generate to Excel, by the end of the last column, the fields are impossibly skewed.
4) I suspect part of the skewing problem (above) is because the columns are not directly translating between the header table and the repeater table. How do I fix that?

I am going to try and attach a copy of the Excel file.

From my experience, that's a no-can-do. You can do that with CAFE, but not excel export from RS/WSA.
