Title: Map In Active Reports

Hi,

I have used Map(New Visualizations) in Reports which is visually good and when i tried to used the same in Active report i cant find the Map(New Visualization).I can find only Dynamic Map Visualization(Legacy Visualization).

Do any have idea?

Hi,

Yes - the new Mapbox maps are rendered client-side in your browser, whereas the MHT file used to render an Active Report has to be initially rendered on the server. This means at the moment you can't use the new maps in Active Reports. I'm hoping IBM will add server-side rendering for the new maps at some point.

Personally I doubt we'll ever see this happen. I think support for the MHT format will eventually be dropped by Microsoft, so I doubt IBM is looking to invest anything in this area. Just my opinion, of course :)
