Hi,
I know drill up and down is possible when use cube package as source. Can we create drill up and drill down when we use flat file as source.
I'm using external file as source and i want create bar chat with drill down/drill up.
For example In bar chart i want show Region (Americas, EMEA,APAC) first when user click on Americas - it should go to Sub-Regions (NE,SE,Central,Mountain,West).
Thanks in advance.
Bsk.

Hi,
Yes - you need to add Navigation Paths to define the levels you want to navigate between. Assuming you are on 11.0.8 or 11.0.9 you can do this directly in the dashboard - use the ellipsis next to the items in the data pane and you will see the option to create a navigation path. Prior to 11.0.8 you need to bring your uploaded file into a data module to define the navigation paths.
Cheers!
MF.
Hi MF,
Could you please explain with an example if possible as i'm also trying it?

Hi,
Take a look at the documentation to see how to do it:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSEP7J_11.0.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ca_mdlg.doc/t_ca_mdlg_nav_group.html
It's exactly the same concept when doing this in a dashboard too.
Cheers!
