Title: Security to User Group - not individual?
Post by: donap on 23 Feb 2018 04:41:47 PM
Hello. When I right-click on the TM1 Server instance  -select Security > Clients/Groups ....It lets me add a specific user as an Admin, or Data Admin. It also shows me the User Groups across the top.

we manage the members of each  Group  externally.

How to I grant Admin (Data Admin) access to a Group ?
I want everyone in the group (whether it is 1 person, or 5 people, or changing people)  to have the defined access, without having to get a  communication every time someone joins or leaves that team.

How do you do this ?

Hi Donap

This is usually achieved using a simple TI process whereby you loop a subset from the }Clients group of users within the group you're trying to condition, and putting them into the DataAdmin group. You don't give the Group access per se as the DataAdmin group is a security group itself.....if you know what I mean.
