Title: Drop-down search in Contrbutor
Post by: Hitman on 31 Dec 2007 02:46:42 AM
Hi All

This is one of the constant complaint that I hear from my clients, that the contributor dosen't support drop down search when they try to type the name of a d-list item.
When the dimension list is huge they have to scroll and search for the required item every time.
Is there any trick/solution by which this facility can be provided?

Iam a rookie to Cognos Planning.

Use Contributor Add-in for Excel instead of Contributor WebClient. Then you can use the Excel search function and link local Spreadsheets directly to Contributor Spreadsheets.

But for that seperate Contributor Add-In-Excel licence is required which the user want to avoid.

Hi,

You can use the format of the D-list item to be another D-list from which the user wants to enter a name
