Title: Reports using multiple packages
Post by: whatever890 on 25 Jan 2018 10:34:36 AM
Hi all,

Has anyone had any luck using multiple DQM packages in reporting?  Not being able to use joins/unions is a real limitation and, IMO, defeats the purpose of this "enhancement".  We have members in package A that we want to pull detail info on from package B (and we can't really use FM as this is really different data), and there's no way to do this without a join.  Am I missing something??

TIA.

It is correct that queries from two packages cannot be part of joins or unions in the report and it is definitely a feature most required. We cannot also combine them in data modules. I guess at this point data sets might help as they are just snapshots of data .

Thanks
Kiran

Thanks Kiran - can you use 2 different data sets in a report?  Or 2 different data sources in 1 data set?

Hi

I haven't tried using two different data sets in single report but you can definitely join the two data sets in a data module and use that data module in a report.

Thanks
