Title: Shortcut Aliases in Cognos Framework
Post by: gosoccer on 20 Jan 2018 01:36:12 PM
Hi guys,
I created some Shortcut Aliases for some of our Subject Queries and I was wondering if the actual Relationships that exists in the original subject query carries over when I create the ShortCut Aliase. OR The Shortcut Aliase will not have the Relationships.

thanks so much

Hi,

The whole idea of creating alias shortcuts is that you want to use the same original table in different join paths, so you would always create separate relationships for your alias shortcut vs the original query subject.

Excellent! I was checking to make sure that is the case since there are so many relationships based on the same exact subject query.
Thanks a lot!
