Title: Preventing blank Pages from Rendering in page layers
Post by: mgallagherjr on 05 Jan 2018 11:05:20 AM
When I run a report with page layers, whether I use a render variable or no content options and render blank options, pages with no data are still rendered.  I end up with a report that has multiple pages of nothing but row/column headings and no values.  I expect the lack of values, but want to prevent the page from being included in the report.  My searches so far have not turned up a similar issue, so I'm guessing I've missed something simple.  Any advice would be appreciated.

A bit of follow up here, I have tried a detail filter and this is not a valid option because for consistency in the reports I cannot have columns omitted from the report.

Hi,
There is a property for lists and crosstabs to render the page when empty. Try and see if that helps.
Good luck

@New_Guy, I had actually already tried that option with no success.

Ultimately the solution ended up being to add a list to the report with the specific item that I wanted to look at, and set a render variable that evaluated that list item.
